Fangyuan Environment to establish NCM cathode material precursor joint venture

Guangdong Fangyuan Environment Co., Ltd. announced on May 9 that the company recently signed a "Cooperation Framework Agreement" with Feinan Resources and Chaocheng Investment. The parties intend to jointly invest in the establishment of a project company in Xiangzhou, Laibin. The total investment is tentatively set at RMB1 billion (USD149 million) and the registered capital records RMB300 million (USD44.58 million), of which the company will invest RMB153 million (USD22.74 million), accounting for 51% of the project company's equity.
The three parties intend to carry out all-round cooperation around the NCM cathode material precursor business, use the self-produced refined nickel sulfate in Guangxi Feinan as the main source of materials, and rely on the company's modern separation technology and functional material preparation technology as the support to develop market-competitive NCM cathode material precursor products, eventually forming a production base for NCM cathode material precursor.
