MIIT publicizes rare earth functional material production results in Q1 2022

Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently announced rare earth functional material production results in the first quarter of 2022. In Q1, China's rare earth functional material production witnessed steady growth.
Regarding rare earth magnetic material, rough sintered NdFeB magnet production was 68,500t, up by 30% YOY; bonded NdFeB magnet production was 2,520t, up by 20% YOY; and Sm-Co magnet production was 865t, up by 44% YOY.
Regarding rare earth catalyst, petroleum catalytic cracking catalyst production (foreign production companies not included) was 55,000t, up by 9% YOY; and auto exhaust gas purifier production was 4.9 million litres (foreign production companies not included), up by 25.6% YOY.
Regarding rare earth luminescent material, LED fluorescent powder production was 146t, down by 3.3% YOY; trichromatic fluorescent powder production was 185t, down by 8.9% YOY; and persistence luminescence material production was 58t, up by 1.7% YOY.
Rare earth hydrogen storage material production was 2,070t, down by 10.2% YOY; and rare earth polishing material production was 9,550t, up by 10.1% YOY.
