First blast furnace of Zenith Steel's green high-quality steel project goes into operation

On the evening of March 29, the No. 3 blast furnace of Zenith green high-quality steel project of Zenith Steel Group was formally ignited for production. This is the first blast furnace that puts into operation since the commencement of the project, marking that the project has officially entered the production period.
Zenith green high-quality steel project is a key demonstration project in Jiangsu to promote the transfer of steel production capacity from areas along the Yangtze River to the coast. With the total investment of RMB100 billion (USD15.74 billion), the project has the planned steel production capacity of 20 million tons, of which the first phase reaches about 8 million tons.
