India's coal output up by 8.3% in Jan-Feb

According to the latest data released by Ministry of Coal of India, India's coal and lignite output reached 168 million tons in total in Jan-Feb 2022, up by 8.3% YoY.
In February 2022, India's coal and lignite output achieved 84.15 million tons in total, an increase of 5.78 million tons or 7.4% YoY. In particular, the lignite output reached 4.61 million tons, up by 22.6% YoY.
The statistics show that in the first eleven months of the current finance year (Apr 2021-Feb 2022), the total coal output in India reached 723 million tons, increasing by 71.3 million tons or 11% YoY. In particular, the lignite output reached 41.25 million tons, up by 31.1% YoY.
