On February 7, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Iron and Steel Industry", proposing that by 2025, the ability to guarantee resource diversification will be significantly enhanced, the production capacity, scale and intensification level of domestic iron mines will be greatly improved, the steel scrap recycling and processing system will be basically sound, the utilization level will be significantly improved, and the amount of steel scrap resources utilized by the iron and steel industry will reach more than 300 million tons.
