South32's thermal coal output decreased significantly in July-September

The quarterly report released by the Australian miner South32 shows that from July to September, South32's thermal coal output and sales declined significantly.
According to the report, South32 produced 313,000t of thermal coal from July to September, down by 38% YoY and 19% MoM. All of its thermal coal production comes from Illawarra.
The report shows that from July to September, South32 sold 218,000t of thermal coal, down by 54% YoY and 45% MoM.
In July-September, the total coal production of South32 was 1.89 million tons, down by 20% YoY and up by 9% MoM . In the 2021-22 fiscal year (until June 2022), the company's production guidance remains unchanged at 7 . 3 million tons.
