EU makes preliminary anti-dumping rulings on calcium silicon from China

The European Commission announced on 15 October 2021 that a provisional anti-dumping duty is imposed on imports of calcium silicon originating in China
On 18 February 2021, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation with regard to imports of calcium silicon originating in China following a complaint lodged on 4 January 2021 by Euroalliages.
. This regulation shall enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union for a period of 6 months . The rates of the provisional anti-dumping duty applicable to Ningxia Ketong New Material Technology Co . , Ltd . , Ningxia Shun Tai Smelting Co . , Ltd . , and Shaanxi Shenghua Metallurgy-Chemical Co . , Ltd . is 31 . 5%, 43 . 3% and 32 . 8% respectively, and that for other companies is set at 50 . 6% . The product concerned is currently falling under CN codes ex 7202 99 80 and ex 2850 00 60 (TARIC codes 7202 99 80 30 and 2850 00 60 91) . The investigation of dumping and injury covered the period from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020 .
