U.S. thermal coal exports rise by 90% YoY in Jul

Data released by U.S. Census Bureau indicated that the U.S. exported 3.12 million short tons (2.74 million tons) of thermal coal in July 2021, a large increase of 93.8% compared with the same period of last year.
Data showed that the U.S. exported 1.31 million short tons of thermal coal to Asia in July, far more than 490,000 tons in last July, and the exports to Africa and Europe were 694,300 tons and 666,000 tons, up by 1 time and 70% YoY respectively.
