In June, the mainstream prices of zinc ingot went down with fluctuation as the slack season and the Fed raised rates on 16th June, which made zinc ingot prices decreased significantly. In June, as the downstream consumption remained weak and government control of the commodity prices, consumers bought from hand to mouth, leading to scarce market purchases.
TCs of zinc concentrate went up as the zinc concentrate supply was still tight in China, but the tight supply got eased along with production resumption of some mines in North China. The imported zinc concentrate supply increased slightly in June.
Prices for zinc die-casting alloy, zinc oxide and zinc powder went down with fluctuation following those for raw material zinc ingot. Market also saw scarce deals as zinc die-casting alloy market entering the off season and consumers held watchful attitudes under flat demand for zinc ingot but saw large price movements in June. Despite strong demand for zinc powder, end consumers also held wait-and-see attitudes, resulting in scarce market deals.
