Vietnam Hoa Phat's steel products sales up by 70% YOY in Jan-May

From January to May 2021, Vietnam's Hoa Phat Group produced nearly 3.4 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year increase of 56.5%.
In the same period, the sale volume of steel products (including billets, construction steel, hot-rolled coils, steel plates and steel pipes) of Vietnam Hoa Phat Group reached 3.7 million tons, up by 70% from the corresponding period last year. In particular, the sale volume of construction steel recorded 1.60 million tons, an increase of 27.5% year-on-year; that of square billet reached 576,000 tons, in line with the same period last year.
Hoa Phat Group is the largest steel producer in Vietnam with an annual production capacity of 8 million tons. In 2021, Hoa Phat Group plans to produce 5 million tons of construction steel and billets, 2.7 million tons of hot-rolled steel coils, 920,000 tons of steel pipes and over 300,000 tons of galvanized steel.
