Tsingshan Holding to supply nickel matte to Huayou Cobalt and CNGR

Tsingshan Holding signed a nickel matte supply agreement with Huayou Cobalt and CNGR on March 1st. According to the agreement, Tsingshan Holding will supply 60,000t and 40,000t of nickel matte to Huayou Cobalt and CNGR within one year from October 2021.
In order to further improve its industrial chain in new energy area and meet the demand for nickel from power battery industry, Tsingshan Holding started pilot production of nickel matte containing over 75% of nickel in Indonesia in July 2020 and succeeded in late 2020. The company can now supply high-quality nickel matte stably.
Tsingshan Holding will continue to raise its investment in Indonesia, expecting to realize nickel equivalent output of 600,000t, 850,000t and 1.10 million tons in 2021, 2022 and 2023 respectively. The company will adjust its outputs of nickel matte and ferronickel based on demand and prices of the two materials.
