On the morning of January 11, Baoji Nuclear Power Materials Technology Co., Ltd. successfully signed a technical cooperation contract with Baoji Juhexin Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. and Russia KV-Titan Ltd. The "low-cost titanium and titanium alloy material industrialization project" of 3150kw electron beam cold bed melting furnace with high quality development was officially settled in Baoji.
It is reported that the project will be completed in two phases, with an investment of RMB130 million (USD20.09 million) in the first phase and RMB100 million (USD15.46 million) in the second phase. The project is located in Baoji high tech zone, covering an area of more than 50 mu and a construction area of 26,000 square meters. The main equipment includes two sets of 3150kw electron beam cold bed melting furnace, more than 30 sets of ingot and plate related supporting equipment, more than 30 sets of seamless tube production equipment of cold rolling mill, etc. After the project is completed and put into commercial operation, a production capacity of 5,000 tons of residual titanium, 8,000 tons of titanium and titanium alloy ingots, 3,500 tons of titanium plates and 600 tons of seamless titanium pipes will be formed every year.
