SASAC: Central state-owned enterprises integrate 240 million tons of coal resources since 2016

On December 29, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) held a press briefing meeting to introduce developments on China's reform on the supply end
. A senior official from the State Council was cited as saying that since 2016 central state-owned enterprises have closed a total 16 . 44-million-ton iron and steel production capacity and a total 119-million-ton coal production capacity, and have integrated a total 240 million tons of coal resources, indicating that China has successfully fulfilled its overall goals for reducing excessive capacity ahead of schedule.
