The Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia announced on the press conference on December 25 that Inner Mongolia will construct new coal mine projects according to the principle of restricting the layout of the eastern part of Inner Mongolia and optimizing the layout of the western part and firmly refuse to build new coal mine projects on the grassland.
The bureau stated on the press conference that since the beginning of the 13th Five-year Plan, Inner Mongolia has promoted the optimization of production layout, shut down all coal mines in natural reserves and asked coal mines, wind power and photovoltaic projects to withdraw when they expire.
