Keda Machinery and Salt Lake to raise investments in Lake Lithium

Keda Machinery announced on December 26th that one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Keda Lithium, and one of its holding subsidiaries, Qinghai Weili, together with Salt Lake Industry, the controlling shareholder of Lake Lithium, will raise a total investment of RMB620 million (USD94.96 million) in Lake Lithium in accordance with their share proportion. After the investment increase this time, the total shares of Lake Lithium will increase from 343.32 million shares to 517.97 million shares, but the proportion of shares of Lake Lithium indirectly held by Keda Machinery will remain stable at 48.58%.
Lake Lithium, which focuses on produciton and sales of lithium carbonate and owns the production capacity of 10,000t of industrial grade lithium carbonate now, is building a battery grade lithium carbonate project of 20,000tpy at present. The investment increase this time will be conducive to relieving the funds pressure assumed by Lake Lithium, boost the construction of its battery grade lithium carbonate project of 20,000tpy and enhance its core competitiveness.
