Shandong Iron and Steel Group enters into ultra-low emission era in iron and steel industry

According to information from the website of Shandong Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., the group won the first battle in the environmental protection performance evaluation organized by Department of Ecology and Environment of Shandong. Its branches including Rizhao Company, Shandong Iron and Steel Laiwu Branch Coking Plant and Shandong Lubi Construction Materials Company Gangcheng Branch were rated as A-level enterprises in environmental protection performance evaluation; other branches including Shandong Iron and Steel Laiwu Branch, Laiwu Steel Group Yinshan Section Steel Company, Laiwu Steel Yongfeng Iron and Steel Company were rated as B-level enterprises in environmental protection performance evaluation.
In particular, Rizhao Company was the only one that was rated as A-level enterprise in long-process iron and steel combination industry in Shandong and Shandong Iron and Steel Laiwu Branch Coking Plant was the only one that was rated as A-level enterprise in coking industry in Shandong. The result of environmental protection performance evaluation marked that Shandong Iron and Steel Group made great progress in green development and entered into the ultra-low emission era in iron and steel industry.
