Inner Mongolia (Naiman) Jing'an Nonferrous Metals's phase II stainless steel project commences

On November 27, Inner Mongolia (Naiman) Jing'an Nonferrous Metal Materials Co., Ltd.'s phase II stainless steel project, with an annual output of 1,294,700 tons, was held.
Inner Mongolia (Naiman) Jing'an Nonferrous Metal Materials Co., Ltd. covers an area of 9,000 mu, with a total investment of RMB15 billion (USD2.29 billion). In the first phase, 18 ferronickel alloy production lines will be constructed, of which production lines No.1-6 have basically met the production conditions, and the civil engineering of No.7-18 production lines has been completed, and the equipment is being installed. It is expected to be put into commercial production in June 2021.
The second phase stainless steel project, with an annual output of 1,294,700 tons, covers an area of 1,100 mu, with a total investment of about RMB5.5 billion (USD0.84 billion), will build two 90tA0D refining furnaces, two 90tLF refining furnaces and two 75t electric arc furnaces. The project is divided into two phases. The first phase of the project has an investment of RMB2.6 billion (USD0.40 billion) to build a steel-making and continuous casting workshop, a double high-speed wire rod production line, a section steel production line and a public auxiliary system, with an annual output of 880,000 tons of wire rod and 350,000 tons of section steel; the second phase has an investment of RMB2.6 billion (USD396.4 million) to build a stainless steel hot rolling and pickling production line with an annual output of 1.26 million tons of stainless steel coil.
