EU makes final anti circumvention ruling on Chinese tungsten electrode

On September 4, 2020, the European Commission announced that the final anti-circumvention ruling was made on tungsten electrodes originated in China, and ruled that the tungsten electrodes originated in China and reexported through Laos and Thailand had circumvention behavior. Therefore, it decided to impose 63.5% anti-dumping duty on China's tungsten electrodes retroactively, and terminate the anti-circumvention investigation on tungsten electrodes originating in China and reexported through India (whether or not it is indicated that they originated in India) . The EU CN codes of the products involved are ex 8101 99 10 and ex 8515 90 80 (Taric codes are 8101 99 10 11, 8101 99 10 12, 85 15 90 80 11 and 85 15 90 80 12).

On May 31, 2018, the European Commission announced that the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on tungsten electrodes originating in China was launched. On December 17, 2019, the European Commission announced that it would independently conduct anti circumvention investigation on tungsten electrodes originated in China.
