Recently, Zhangbei renewable energy flexible DC power grid pilot demonstration project that adopted China's original and world-leading flexible DC power grid new technology and created 12 world's number ones was completed and put into operation, supplying green power to all Winter Olympic venues in Beijing and Yanqing. HBIS Group supplied the significant power engineering construction that served clean energy and low-carbon development with 26,600 tons of high-strength low temperature resistant angle steel, among which 18# and 20# C-grade angle steel, two major specifications, were provided by HBIS exclusively.
With excellent performance, the angle steel of HBIS Group can stand the extremely low temperature of -40℃ and has good tensile strength. It was widely used in significant power projects in alpine regions, such as middle Tibet grid interconnection project and Qinghai-Henan ±800kv UHV DC power line project, and was well received for passing the severe environment test.
