Hefei launches campaign to crack down on environmental violations caused by waste lead-acid battery

Hefei government will launch a one-month long special campaign to crack down on environmental violations caused by waste lead-acid battery in an effort to guard against environmental risks posed by solid waste and protect ecological environment, according to Hefei Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau.
The campaign will target violations which include selling waste lead-acid battery to entity or individual without hazardous waste operating permits, stockpiling waste lead-acid battery in open air, unauthorized disassembling of waste lead-acid battery and dumping of battery electrolyte, etc.
