NDRC announces 5% off for companies power charges for five successive months

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued a notice on February 22, electricity cost of enterprises will be reduced in stages in order to coordinate the epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, to support enterprises to return to production, and to overcome difficulties together.
According to the notice, the scope of electricity price reduction this time is for the power users who are in addition to the high energy consuming industries and are now implementing the general industrial and commercial and other electricity prices and large industrial electricity prices. From February 1 to June 30, 2020, when the power grid enterprises calculate and collect the power charges of the above-mentioned power users (including those who have participated in the market transaction), they shall settle the accounts at 95% of the original household price level.
