Zhongke Xinyuan Crystal Material to build project of germanium wafer for solar cells

On the evening of December 26, Yunnan Germanium announced that the board of directors of the company agreed to build project of germanium wafer for solar cells by its subsidiary, Zhongke Xinyuan Crystal Material Co., Ltd. The production line of the project will have the capacity to produce 200,000 pieces of 6-inch germanium monocrystalline wafers with low dislocation density. The total investment of the project is RMB340.18 million (USD48.58 million).
After the completion of the project, Zhongke Xinyuan Crystal Material will have an annual capacity of 200,000 pieces of 6-inch germanium monocrystalline wafers or 300,000 pieces of 4-inch ones.
