CTC Mining aims at 2.1 million tonnes of bauxite in 2020

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Dec 19 - CTC Mining Ltd., a big bauxite producer in Turkey, is scheduled to produce around 2.1 million tonnes of bauxite in 2020, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
According to the source, they produced around 600,000t in 2019, up from around 70,000t in 2018, when they started operation from late the year. "We are busy with bauxite sales with Chinese buyers now," said the source, which has agreed around 200,000t with Chinese buyers so far this year. From next March, they plan to use big vessels with loading capacity at 170,000t, from current vessels of 80,000-100,000t.
Based on three mines and a total annual production capacity of 3 million tonnes, the producer mainly provides monohydrate bauxite Al2O3 54%min SiO2 7%max and now offers USD58-59/t CIF China. They now hold around 100,000t in stock.
Current mainstream prices for Turkish bauxite Al2O3 55%min SiO2 7%max stand at USD58-60/t CIF China.
