On October 18, Jiangxi and the Chinese Academy of Sciences held a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement on the Rare Earth Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Nanchang.
According to the agreement, Jiangxi and the Chinese Academy of Sciences will jointly build the Rare Earth Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Ganzhou, focusing on the national rare earth resource development strategy and innovative institutional mechanisms to break through the major scientific and technological problems of green, efficient, balanced and high-value utilization of rare earths. The target is to overcome the key core technologies of the country's core competitiveness and sustainable economic and social development, to attract outstanding innovative talents from a global perspective, and to build a comprehensive chain integration innovation system for rare earth exploration, mining, extraction, utilization and ecological protection . Finally, it will become a new type of R&D institution that integrates innovative research, talent cultivation and industrial application to achieve a leap in high-end applications of rare earths.
