Electronic grade silicon powder project in Gansu comes on stream

On July 28, the commencement ceremony of Gansu Zhongke Kaiyue Silicon Material Technology's electronic silicon powder project with an annual output of 15,000t was held in Liuyuan Stone Industry Park, Guazhou County. The project not only fills the gap in the production of electronic grade silicon powder in Gansu province, but also become a model in high-tech industrialization in the province.
With a total investment of RMB120 million (USD17.04 million), the project covers 16,000 square meters. Covering an area of 4,240 square meters, its new workshop mainly constructs two production lines of electronic grade silicon powder, taking the solid waste powder produced in the manufacturing process of quartz sand in Guazhou as the raw material. After the project is completed and put into production, it can process 15,000t of electric grade silicon powder annually, with sales revenue of RMB60 million (USD8.52 million) and profits and taxes of RMB10.5 million (USD1.49 million).
