1. Market Highlights
In April, mainstream price for Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min dropped first and then rose. They kept stable at the beginning of April, and continued to fall in early-to-mid April when insiders were pessimistic about the market outlook affected by the second auction of Fanya's 34.64t of indium ingot 99.99%min. With these stocks of Fanya successfully sold at RMB1,080/kg (USD159/kg) Inc-VAT in late April, insiders did not expect a lower auction price in the short term. Therefore, mainstream prices for the material edged up. However, Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min market saw inactive transactions in April on the whole, so market participants were not optimistic about the price trend in May, believing that mainstream prices for the material would keep fluctuating near the costs.
