1．Market Highlights
Antimony concentrate market: As Russia exported lots of gold-bearing antimony concentrate to China in March, supply of the material seemed to be abundant, however, the supply of high grade antimony concentrate was relatively tight.
Antimony ingot market: During the two weeks after the Spring Festival holiday, Chinese and overseas consumers added stocks in succession. Entering March, most antimony ingot suppliers began to undersell with no confidence in the future market as downstream demand became soft; however, consumers didn't show more interest in purchasing, leaving limited transactions on the spot market.
Antimony trioxide market: As raw material prices decreased constantly and downstream consumers postponed purchasing, antimony trioxide suppliers were bearish on the market outlook and marked down prices for sales; while consumers just held a strong wait-and-see attitude. As a result, spot prices for antimony trioxide declined further.
In March, with the verdict on FANYA case announced, the antimony market was gloomy. Suppliers were eager to sell at low prices but consumers just purchased from hand to mouth for fear of lower prices. Therefore, antimony prices were close to the cost line on the whole.
