HR strip prices in major markets of China saw an upward trend during this month mainly supported by the increase in steel mills' list prices. Nevertheless, as customers without urgent need for materials were still taking a cautious attitude and placing orders sparingly, the market sales performance continued to be unsatisfying. Some steel mills could not keep the regular production affected by the environmental protection inspection and the tight supply of raw materials. Insiders predict the market would keep quiet in the coming month on weak customer demand.
