Rare metal oxides project to settle in Changning

On February 28, Liu Danxiang, party secretary of Changning City, Hunan Province, met with representatives of the project of rare metal oxides (tantalum oxide and niobium oxide) with a n annual capacity of 2,000t. He learned about the project and stressed that the project should be approved and implemented as soon as possible to build smelting and non-ferrous metal processing clusters in Shuikoushan Park.
The project was undertaken by Jiangxi Jiujiang Jinxin Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., and its main products will be tantalum oxide and niobium oxide. The project was planned to use 200-300 mu of land, and the initial site was located in the southwest corner of the project of Cu-Pb-Zn industrial base in Shuikoushan, Jingkai District. The investment of the project is expected to be 1.5 billion yuan, including 600 million yuan in fixed assets, and 900 million yuan in working capital. The project might generate 60 million yuan in annual tax, and it might take 18 months for the construction.
