Huayou Cobalt's new energy material projects begin

It is reported that on 9 November the ground-breaking ceremony for 30,000tpy of power battery ternary precursor project owned by POSCO New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. and 30,000tpy of power battery cathode material project of Puhua New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. was held in Tongxiang, North Zhejiang.
Covering an area of 141 mu, Huayou POSCO new energy project has a total investment of RMB1.008 billion to construct the 30,000tpy of power battery ternary precursor production line. Specifically, the phase I of the project, with an annual capacity of 5,000t, would be completed and come on stream in August 2019.
Covering an area of 156 mu, Puhua new energy project got a total investment of RMB930 million to construct the 30,000tpy of battery ternary cathode material production line. Specifically, the phase I of the project, with an annual capacity of 5,000t, would be completed and come on stream in August 2019.
POSCO New Energy and Puhua New Energy are two joint ventures built by Huayou Cobalt and POSCO early this year, with ternary precursor and ternary material as their main product respectively.
