Chengtun Mining to acquire Sichuan Zinc & Germanium

Chengtun Mining ("the company") announced on the evening of October 28th that it planned to acquire 97.22% stock equity of Sichuan Zinc & Germanium which was held by 21 counterparties including Chengtun Group (the holding company of Chengtun Mining) and Liuqiang by 2.139 billion yuan via share issue and cash payment. In addition, Chengtun Mining will also raise no more than 1.06 billion yuan from no more than 10 specific investors by non-public placement.
Originally, Chengtun Mining held 2.78% stock equity of Sichuan Zinc & Germanium which will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chengtun Mining if the company successfully acquired the remaining stocks.
As a large domestic enterprise engaged in zinc-germanium smelting and processing, Sichuan Zinc & Germanium has a number of independent R&D patents and is capable of producing 220,000tpy of zinc cathode, integrated recycling and utilizing 200,000tpy of zinc cathode slag, and producing 400,000tpy of high-purity germanium dioxide. Besides, it is expanding new capacity.
