Recently, two 055 type 10,000dwt destroyers were launched in Dalian, announcing the completion of the first batch of four 055 type 10,000dwt destroyers in China. It is learnt that Fushun Special Steel provided a large amount of titanium alloy materials for the destroyers.
Fushun Special Steel is one of the first iron and steel enterprises to develop titanium alloy in China. From 1965 to 1985, it produced more than 470 tons of titanium products, which played an important role in the development of China's aerospace and defense industries. After 1985, the company gradually withdrew from the titanium alloy market. In 2007, it resumed production of titanium alloy and put the newly-built titanium alloy production line into operation in 2012. Ever since the production line of titanium alloy went into operation, the company has set its sights on the high-end titanium alloy market at home and abroad. After more than 6 years, its titanium alloy products have made great progress in production process, market development and strategic user cultivation.
