CAST finished the production of nuclear fuel cladding tube on September 20th in accordance with its plan and finished the delivery of the material, indicating that China has realized localized production for the 3rd generation of nuclear power grade zircon alloy tube.
As a key, strategic material for the running of nuclear power plant, nuclear fuel cladding tube plays an important role in guaranteeing nuclear security. The localized production of the third generation of nuclear power grade zircon alloy tube is of great significance for China to extend nuclear industrial chain and ensure the sound, effective development of nuclear power industry.
Jointly invested by China National Nuclear Coporation and France-based Framatome, CAST is the first manufacturer related to nuclear fule industry established in China under the cooperation of China and France.
