1. Market Highlights
It remained the traditional off-season for Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min in August, and prices for the material continued to decrease in mid-to-late August due to weak consumption and speculation demand. With stricter environment protection policies, most crude indium 99%min producers cut or suspended production. And indium ingot 99.99%min manufacturers had low desires to sell at lower prices with difficulties in purchasing the raw material supported by the tight supply of crude indium. But prices moved down owing to greater sale pressure and pessimistic attitude of insiders. Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min producers had less enthusiasm and kept a low operating rate because of limited profits.
