Luoping Zinc & Electricity penalized for non-disclosure of important information

On the evening of September 7, Yunnan Luoping Zinc & Electricity Co., Ltd. received a notification of administrative penalty issued by Yunnan Supervision Bureau of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). According to the notification, Luoping Zinc & Electricity didn't make provisional reports or disclose information about the disposal of 100,000t of lead-contained waste residue in its 2016 annual report, 2017 semi-annual report and 2017 annual report. In addition, the company did not disclose multiple administrative penalties in a timely manner. Luoping Zinc & Electricity has been ordered by Yunnan Supervision Bureau to make corrections, and at the same time, warned and penalized with fines of RMB600,000. In addition, 20 persons including then-Chairman Yang Jianxing are subject to administrative penalties.
