Luoping Zinc & Electricity strives to dispose lead-containing slag

It is reported that the zinc smelting production line in the factory area of Luoping Zinc & Electricity Co., Ltd. is still completely out of production and in rectification. The company is utilizing the rotary kiln to deal with lead-containing slag at full capacity around the clock to ensure that all the slag would be disposed by the end of this month.
"The company speeded up the disposal of lead-containing slag from 23 June. Firstly, the rotary kiln with processing capacity of 450-500tpd is used to dispose lead-containing slag around the clock. Secondly, we signed agreements with five companies owning certificates to dispose the slag in their companies to finish the job at the fastest speed," said Li Youli, Vice-president and General Manager of Luoping Zinc & Electricity Co., Ltd., adding that 90% of the total lead-containing slag had been disposed so far, and the job is sure to be completed by August 31.
On June 21, the Ministry of Ecological Environment sternly notified Yunnan Luoping Zinc & Electricity Co., Ltd. of potential environmental pollution problems.
