1. Market Highlights
Mainstream prices for Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min decreased first and then increased in June, which stabilized at RMB1,700-1,750/kg (USD257-265/kg) in early and mid-June. Buyers mainly waited on the sidelines in the first two weeks and expected prices to decline further in the near future. But speculators tried to raise prices continuously from the middle of the month, and most crude indium 99%min producers cut or suspended production in June limited by environmental inspections, thus prices for the material increased slightly by RMB70kg (USD10.59/kg) to RMB1,770-1,820/kg (USD268-275/kg) in late June. But consumers still had weak demand and didn't make purchases in spite of increasing prices for indium ingot.
