1. Market Highlights
Mainstream prices for Chinese indium ingot 99.99%min decreased first and then increased in December and largely held at RMB1,500-1,550/kg (USD231-238/kg) in late the month. Due to relatively firm prices and tight supply of crude indium, prices for indium ingot showed a stable trend; however, demand from consumers remained dim, which delayed large volumes of purchases with the expectation of lower prices in the year end. Traders made frequent deals in mid-December and prices continued to move down slightly after climbing for a short period. The export market still saw long-term orders and the transaction prices for small orders didn't exceed USD250/kg as expected.
