12 February 2013, Australian Customs and Border Protection Department initiated the anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled plate steel from China Mainland, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, and countervailing investigation on the same material imported from China Mainland according to the application lodged by Australian company BlueScope Steel Limited. 19 July 2013, Australian Anti-dumping Commission made positive AD preliminary determination on hot rolled plate steel from China, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea . 10 September 2013, the Commission made negative final determination on the material from Taiwan and ended the investigation . 19 December 2013, the Commission made positive final determination for anti-dumping on hot rolled plate steel from China, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan, and positive final determination for countervailing duty on the same material from China.
. 183 notice of 2017 that the anti-dumping measures on hot rolled plate steel exported to Australia from China, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia are due to expire on 19 December 2018 . In accordance with subsection 269ZHB(1) of the Customs Act 1901, related interested parties can lodge the application for the continuation of the anti-dumping measures on the involved products under HS code 7208 . 40 . 00, 7208 . 51 . 00, 7208 . 52 . 00, 7225 . 40 . 00 by 17 January 2018 . If no application is received within the prescribed period, the anti-dumping measures would no longer apply from 20 December 2018.
