GCC releases preliminary determination on AD for seamless steel tubes from China

On December 5, 2017, the GCC (Gulf Corporation Council) Secretariat of International Trade against Injury issued the preliminary determination on anti-dumping case for seamless iron pipes and seamless steel tubes imported from China, announcing that anti-dumping duties to be adopted for relevant companies were 33
According to the announcement, although dumping indeed existed which caused substantial injury for industries in Gulf area, industries in this region will not gain profits even though anti-dumping duties with less than 4-6 months are levied as industries in the Gulf conduct production based on the demand and sales by opening long-term biddings. It is unnecessary to collect temporary anti-dumping duties during the investigation period in order to protect Gulf industries from injury . Thus, the investigation will go on without imposing the above mentioned temporary duties.
Products involved in the case were under Customs Tariff 73041900 and 73042900.
