According to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the region produced 728 million tons of coal from January to October, up by 10
In terms of region, eastern Inner Mongolia turned out 200 million tons of coal, up by 12.6%; western Inner Mongolia produced 530 million tons, up by 9 . 9% (in particular, Ordos yielded 501 million tons, up by 12%) . In terms of subordination relations, the output of central enterprises was 320 million tons, up by 12 . 8% (Shenhua produced 170 million tons, up by 7%); that of state-owned enterprises outside the region was 31 . 74 million tons, up by 24 . 6%; that of local enterprises was 380 million tons, up by 7 . 8% . The whole region imported 29 . 1 million tons of coal from January to October, up by 9 . 65 million tons or 49 . 6% YOY and expects to import 34 million tons for the whole year.
In the first ten months of 2017, the region sold 750 million tons of coal, up by 11% YOY. In specific, 410 million tons were sold to outside the region, up by 15% and accounting for about 55% of the total; the rest was sold inside the region, up by 7% . The electricity industry consumed 185 million tons of coal, an increase of 10%.
