Henan's capacity reduction of coal industry in 2017 passes examination and acceptance

From 21 to 24 November, led by Lu Junling, director of coal division of National Energy Administration, the tenth inspection team for completion of surplus capacity reduction in the iron & steel and coal industry conducted spot check to Henan’s capacity reduction of coal industry in 2017.
After listening to the general report of capacity reduction of coal industry in Henan province, the inspection team divided into three groups and conducted spot check to the completion of surplus capacity reduction in Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Xuchang etc. They conducted spot check on 20 mines in total by means of listening to the work report, reviewing the relevant documents and the closed data, and on-site inspection etc. Finally, Director Lu Junling announced that Henan province passed examination and acceptance for capacity reduction of coal industry in 2017.
In 2017, Henan shut down 101 mines in total and cut capacity by 20.12 million tons. In 2016 and 2017, the province shut down 201 mines in total and cut capacity by 44 million tons ranking among the top list in the national major coal-producing provinces.
