HR strip prices in major markets of China went up further during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices. Besides, because of the environmental protection inspection, some steel mills could not keep the regular production and the supply decreased. However, many customers could not accept the continuous price increase amid the traditionally low season and the market sales performance remained bad. Insiders do not expect the price to rise further in the coming month on weak customer demand.
