Vietnamese Ministry of Industry & Trade to take official anti-dumping measures against Chinese origin joint steel

Vietnamese Ministry of Industry & Trade (“the Ministry”) decided to take official anti-dumping measures against Chinese origin joint steel, the HS codes of which are 7216.33.00, 7228.70.10 and 7228.70.90 respectively. According the Ministry, Vietnam will collect 22.09% of official anti-dumping duty from Hebei Jinxi Group, Hebei Jinxi Section Steel Co., Ltd. and their relative trading companies, and 20.48% of official anti-dumping duty from Rizhao Steel, Rizhao Section Steel Co., Ltd. and their relative trading companies. What’s more, it will collect 29.17% of official anti-dumping duty from producers and exporters who don’t coordinate with investigations. The official anti-dumping measures will be effective after 15 days (on September 5) of the issue of final decision.
In addition, Vietnam will not take anti-dumping measures towards joint steels with the following specifications: height＞700mm (±4mm) or width＞300mm (±3mm), or 100mm＊55mm/120mm＊64mm.
