In June, alloy producers in Yiwu were active to rebuild stocks, so cadmium ingot prices on the whole climbed up. Hunan still saw strengthened environmental inspection, so private cadmium ingot producers saw low operating rates with tight supply of spot cadmium ingot; in addition, consumers and traders had strong interest in purchasing, so cadmium ingot producers lifted prices continuously and transaction prices picked up rapidly. Owing to limited supply of crude cadmium, cadmium ingot smelters’ operating rates were low. Chinese cadmium ingot prices were expected to rise steadily in the coming month.
