Recently, China ENFI officially signs the design contract of Qinghai Xiari Hamu nickel-cobalt mining and dressing project with Qinghai Yellow River Mining Co
Xiari Hamu nickel-cobalt mine is located in the west part of East Kunlun Mountains in the west of Qinghai, one of China’s 19 key deposit areas of East Kunlun Mountains, near the south part of Qaidam Basin. Currently, the proved reserves of nickel resources are about 1 . 1 million ton, associated with 217,600t of copper and 38,100t of cobalt, reaching the extra large scale and becoming the second largest nickel ore deposit of China.
The project, with the designed production scale of 17,000t per day, plans to start in Q3. After being operational, Qaidam Badin will become the second largest production base of nickel concentrate around the country, behind Jinchuan.
The signing of design contract marks that China ENFI continues to keep the monopoly position in the domestic development and design field of nickel ore resources.
