Jinchang initiates a special campaign to crack down illegal activities in rare earth industry

Recently, Jinchang government organized a working group, consisting of officials from Industry & Information Technology, Public Security, Land and Resources, Environmental Protection, Industry & Commerce, and Production Security, to crack down illegal activities in local rare earth industry.
The group organized spot inspections upon local rare earth enterprises involved in mining, extraction and separation, comprehensive application and trading. Findings from the inspections showed that Jinchang has no rare earth reserves, no rare-earth mining and separation enterprises, and only three enterprises involved in manufacturing, wholesale and retail of rare earth products (two manufacturing plants and one trading company). The rare earth industry in Jinchang runs on a well managed and orderly track on the whole.
