In April, prices for ferrosilicon mainly went down slight. By the end of the month, the prices moved down by around RMB300/t from the end of last month. Because of the balance between supply and demand, industry insiders forecasted that the price for ferrosilicon would stay steady in May.
In April, export prices for Chinese ferrosilicon declined by USD20/t from the end of last month. The market saw decreasing deals this month. Industry insiders predicted that in May the export price for ferrosilicon would keep stable because of the stable factory price trend.
