Nanhai starts construction of QS Demonstration Area

The government of Nanhai District signed Memorandum of Cooperation with Nanhai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (the “Bureau”) on March 30, officially starting the construction of QS Demonstration Area (the “Area”) for exporting aluminum section in Nanhai District. This action provides quality endorsement for aluminum companies in Nanhai under the condition that China’s aluminum industry is under investigation from foreigners on anti-dumping and anti-subsidy. “We hope that the Qs Demonstration Area can act as an example that will upgrade the quality and management level in the aluminum industry in Nanhai,” Qiu Yihui, the deputy director of Nanhai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, stated.
In the future, the enterprises in the Area will completely adopt Quality Management System and Credit Quality Rating. The Bureau will make alliances with many departments to provide companies in this district with technical services and upgrade their independent innovation level; to construct a sharing platform about product information at home and abroad and safeguard these enterprises for exporting products. In the meantime, the Area will carry out an integration customs clearance mode for enterprises in the district and these enterprises can apply to all kinds of policies released by the Bureau in priority.
What’s more, Nanhai will submit an application on WTO—TBT research and review base for aluminum section industry, providing the aluminum enterprises in Nanhai with a platform for information feedback on technical barriers to trade.
