Chinese molybdenum market saw limited transactions in January 2017 mainly as major suppliers halted production in succession for equipment maintenance. Besides, due to the limited stocks, quotations for molybdenum kept firm. With the Spring Festival approaching, some ferromolybdenum factories made deliveries with slightly reduced prices in order to release pressure on stocks. At the same time, some big steel mills continued to reduce bidding prices before the Spring Festival, and thus price for ferromolybdenum slightly dropped.
